Patient Testimonial

Posted on December 1, 2012 at 12:22 am

As a woman with a family and a demanding schedule, I had a tendency to forget myself. Others needs came before mine.
I had lost 40 lbs for my son’s wedding, yet my large cup size did not decrease. My breast remained low and size DDD, as I tried on gowns. My body looked disappointing and my age showed. As I looked at photos on Facebook of classmates, I could see it was a trend with the over 50 crowd.
Surgery by Dr. Cohen has changed me. I feel better and younger. I can see a difference in how others approach me. My back pain, especially my right shoulder pain is alleviated.
In retrospect, I wish I had been brave sooner. It is a hard thing to walk through this door for the first time.

Special Thanks,
M. C.

Breast Augmentation Patient Letter

Posted on October 5, 2012 at 10:27 pm

I’m very happy to share my experience with you. I was 30 when I had my 2nd child and it really took a toll on my breasts. I was a very saggy 34B and unhappy. My husband and I met with Dr. Cohen to discuss a breast enlargement, a fabulous 40th birthday gift from my husband. Dr. Cohen was absolutely Fabulous! He sat with me and on several occasions, discussing my options. We decided to go with Saline and to do (“D’s”)…or large C’s. We also chose to do my incision under my boobs because the scar wouldn’t really show. I was excited to get to take pictures ahead of time to see what my results might look like :)
Surgery day was a piece of cake, the staff and Dr. Cohen were very positive and calming, despite my nerves. My recovery went well and it was exciting to see the swelling go down and my new breasts to settle. I couldn’t be happier with my results. My breasts look AMAZING! :)
It’s wonderful to get some confidence back in my appearance.
Thank you so very much to Dr. Cohen, Shelley, Amy and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of me!!!

Breast Lift Patient Testimonial

Dr. Cohen and his staff are talented as well as “with you” every step of the way. I had a breast lift and tummy tuck at the same time. The only regret I have is not doing this sooner.
Who knew I would be in a bikini a month post-op? A double benefit is feeling healthy again. I have recommended all of my friends to Dr. Cohen. You will not be disappointed.

Tummy Tucks… “It’s a Skin Issue”

Posted on June 26, 2012 at 8:14 pm

“Dr. Cohen, I’m trying to get a flat tummy, but diet and exercise are not working!” This is a common concern among my patients who have had kids, significant fluctuations in their weight, or are simply seeing the effects of aging and gravity. For women who are done having kids or have lost a significant amount of weight, it is usually a skin issue.

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, as it is known, is done by making a very low incision just above the pubic hair, and the extra skin and fat is removed. I always tighten the abdominal muscles to create a flatter and more contoured abdomen.

What makes my tummy tucks unique is that I combine liposuction of the flanks (your sides) — not all surgeons do this. My incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures. I also have a unique way of creating a beautiful belly button. Belly buttons should be round. I create a round belly button, and the incision is well hidden inside.

Healing generally takes a week or two, and during that time you will wear a compression garment to minimize swelling and to support your abdomen.
